SK Materials Participates in SK Relay Blood Donation Campaign
[Asia Economy Reporter Park Soyeon] SK Materials, a semiconductor and display materials specialist company, announced on the 23rd that it participated in the 'SK Relay Blood Donation Campaign' at its headquarters in Yeongju.
The campaign participation was carried out to overcome the blood supply crisis caused by the prolonged COVID-19 situation and to help establish a blood safety net.
About 100 SK Materials employees participated in the blood donation event, and subsidiaries of SK Materials such as SK Airgas, SK Trichem, and SK Showa Denko are scheduled to join the campaign in a relay format.
Additionally, SK Group continuously promotes the 'Relay Blood Donation Campaign' and, using the 'Red Connect' app jointly developed by the Korean Red Cross and SK Telecom?which provides health management and blood location inquiry services?has made it easier for not only SK Group members but also the general public to participate in blood donation activities.
Lee Yong-wook, President of SK Materials, said, "I hope the relay blood donation campaign will help alleviate the blood supply shortage even a little," and added, "We will continue to carry out various social contribution activities for organizations or individuals marginalized during the COVID-19 response process."

Meanwhile, since 2017, SK Materials has conducted blood donation volunteer activities annually with about 300 employees participating together with the Korean Red Cross Gyeongbuk branch.
