'Enhancing Administrative Convenience with Big Data' KT and Gangwon-do Join Hands
[Asia Economy Reporter Koo Chae-eun] KT signed a "Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) for Activating Resident Satisfaction Administration Based on Big Data" with Gangwon Province on the 24th.
According to this agreement, KT will provide Gangwon Province with an integrated solution based on population big data. Gangwon Province plans to use this to improve working methods through scientific decision-making and offer customized civil complaint services for residents' convenience. KT will provide BigSight, a big data solution for tourism, commercial districts, and living population, to Gangwon Province and its 18 subordinate cities and counties. They will conduct in-depth consulting once a year and provide big data utilization training. Additionally, KT and Gangwon Province will promote pilot projects to support local tourism companies and small business owners using AI and big data.

KT and Gangwon Province agreed to cooperate to revitalize the regional economy, which has been depressed due to the novel coronavirus infection (COVID-19). KT operates a "Clean Gangwon Agricultural and Marine Specialty Products Brand Exclusive Hall" within the group employee welfare mall and plans to deliver Gangwon Province's "agricultural product packages" to underprivileged groups. Choi Moon-soon, Governor of Gangwon Province, said, "Gangwon Province will continuously discover pilot projects that can benefit residents through big data and 4th industrial technologies in cooperation with KT and utilize them in policies."
