Jungbu Power Launches Senior Job Creation... Opens 'Cafe Mugunghwa' at Boryeong Arboretum
[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Bo-kyung] Korea Midland Power Co. held an opening ceremony on the 23rd for 'Cafe Mugunghwa,' the 6th branch of the Hope Job Sharing Center. Since 2017, Midland Power has been continuously promoting a senior-tailored job creation project.
This year, the public contest was evaluated with a focus on minimizing economic damage to local communities caused by the novel coronavirus disease (COVID-19) and revitalizing the economy.
The newly opened Cafe Mugunghwa is located within Boryeong Mugunghwa Arboretum, a newly emerging representative tourist destination in the region. Twelve local seniors were hired and will be provided with stable jobs working in pairs for 30 hours per month.
