Gyeongju City Bulssi Scholarship Foundation, 'Lighting Hope' for Vulnerable Youth in Dongcheon-dong
[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Dongwook Park] Gyeongju City, Gyeongsangbuk-do, announced on the 23rd that the Dongcheon-dong Bulssi Nanum Association visited three schools, including Gyeongju Technical High School, on the 19th and awarded scholarships to one student at each school.
Since its inception in 2018, the Bulssi Nanum Association has been providing scholarships of 500,000 KRW each year to three students until their graduation. So far, scholarships totaling 4.5 million KRW have been awarded to nine students. In addition, the association continuously practices sharing with underprivileged neighbors such as people with severe disabilities and elderly living alone, serving as a model for the local community.
Kim Young-cheol, president of the Bulssi Nanum Association, stated, "We will continue to provide unwavering support so that vulnerable students in the district do not lose hope and can nurture their dreams."
