Incheon TP Supports New Employees of Root Companies with 'Career Formation Incentive'... Up to 3.6 Million KRW Over 2 Years
[Asia Economy Reporter Park Hyesook] Incheon Technopark (Incheon TP) announced on the 23rd that it will provide up to 3.6 million KRW in 'Career Formation Incentives' over two years to new employees of root industries such as casting, mold, plastic processing, welding, surface treatment, and heat treatment.
This program, part of the Ministry of Employment and Labor's 'Employment Stability Preemptive Response Package Support Project,' was established to encourage long-term employment of new employees in root small and medium enterprises and to minimize the chronic labor shortage through skilled worker training.
The support target is workers residing in Incheon who have worked for more than three months at root companies in the Incheon area and have been employed for less than one year (with a monthly income of 3,096,462 KRW or less based on contract annual salary).
The support period is up to two years, with 600,000 KRW paid quarterly at 200,000 KRW per month in the first year, and 300,000 KRW paid quarterly at 100,000 KRW per month in the following year.
Applications can be submitted by downloading the application form from the Incheon TP website, filling it out, and then submitting it in person, by fax (032-712-2732), or by email (khj2233@itp.or.kr).

An Incheon TP official stated, "To alleviate the labor shortage and employment retention difficulties of root companies exacerbated by COVID-19, we have temporarily relaxed the income criteria for incentive support."
