According to Daegu City on the 23rd, a man in his 20s residing in Yeongcheon-si, Gyeongbuk, and working at a company was confirmed as a COVID-19 case.
This asymptomatic man was found to be infected with COVID-19 after undergoing a diagnostic test at the screening clinic of Keimyung University Dongsan Hospital the day before to return to his home country. Daegu City and health authorities are currently identifying the confirmed patient's movement routes and contacts.
As of midnight on the same day, the number of confirmed COVID-19 cases in Daegu increased by one to 6,901. The number of recovered patients is 6,770 (96.8%), and the number of deaths is 185. Currently, 36 patients are receiving treatment at hospitals and residential treatment centers.
