Kangwon Land Receives Minister of Science and ICT Commendation for Contributions to Information Culture Month
[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Heung-soon] Kangwon Land announced on the 22nd that it received the Minister of Science and ICT Award for its efforts in responding to digital dysfunctions such as smartphone overdependence and promoting a healthy information culture during Information Culture Month.
Since 2016, Kangwon Land has operated the High1 Healing Camp for youth in collaboration with related organizations such as the 'National Office of Education Wee Center' and the 'Korea Information Society Development Institute Smart Rest,' aiming to resolve social issues caused by smartphone overdependence and improve awareness.
The High1 Healing Camp, held under the theme "Living Without a Smartphone," helps participants recognize negative behaviors caused by excessive smartphone use and develop healthy lifestyle habits through various activities such as meditation, forest experiences, and woodworking. Over four years since 2016, a total of 3,380 youths have participated.

Last year, Kangwon Land officially opened the High Healing Center, operating customized humanities and arts healing programs by age group and addiction type utilizing the forest resources of Baekdudaegan, and is conducting domestic behavioral addiction prevention and healing projects.
