Suncheon City Holds Brand Promotion Exhibition: Suncheon, an Ecological City Told Through Calligraphy
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Lee Hyung-kwon] From Monday the 22nd to Friday the 26th, a 5-day event titled ‘Ecological City Suncheon Told Through Calligraphy, Brand Exhibition and Promotion’ is being held at the entrance of Suncheon City Hall.
The works exhibited in this promotion are created by calligrapher and citizen university instructor Choi Min-sook, who actively conducts educational activities for citizens wishing to learn calligraphy in the region, along with five affiliated artists from the Hayu Calligraphy Culture Research Studio.
Under the theme ‘Republic of Korea’s Ecological Capital Suncheon, Speaking Through Calligraphy,’ this exhibition displays over 40 calligraphy works in various styles. The pieces include Suncheon’s vision and goals, New Year’s messages, as well as major tourist attractions and festivals such as Suncheonman Wetland, Nagan Eupseong, Songgwangsa Temple, and Seonamsa Temple.
Calligraphy is an art form that enhances aesthetic value by using handwriting to express visual art through the size, shape, color, and three-dimensional effects of letters.
