On the 22nd, KBS 1TV's 'Morning Yard' aired a special titled 'Meeting the Legend of Trot - Tae Jin-ah' as part of the '100 Years of Korean Popular Music' special project, featuring Tae Jin-ah.
On the broadcast, host Shori introduced Tae Jin-ah, saying, "He has received 218 awards so far. Truly impressive."
Tae Jin-ah said, "I think I've won every award a singer can get," adding, "I even have honors like the Presidential Culture Medal."
Announcer Kim Jae-won asked, "Tae Jin-ah's hit song 'Sarang-eun Amuna Hana' gained popularity in Japan 10 years after its release, right?"
In response, Tae Jin-ah explained, "'Sarang-eun Amuna Hana' was released in 2000. Ten years later, the song was remade in Japan. It topped the Korean trot charts for nine weeks and won awards alongside Big Bang at three major award ceremonies."
Having released his new song 'Riding the Train to Hometown,' Tae Jin-ah also expressed gratitude toward his wife Ok Kyung-yi (Lee Ok-hyung).
He said, "Honey, thank you so much. I believe I am who I am today because of you," and added, "99% of Tae Jin-ah is thanks to you. I love you," conveying his love for his wife.
