Mercedes-Benz Hosts 'Mobile Academy Career Development Workshop' to Support University Students' Career Paths
[Asia Economy Reporter Kiho Sung] The Mercedes-Benz Social Contribution Committee announced on the 22nd that it has successfully completed the 12th session of the "Mercedes-Benz Mobile Academy Career Development Workshop" (hereinafter referred to as the Career Development Workshop), which helps university students majoring in automotive-related fields enhance their expertise and assist in career planning.
The Career Development Workshop is one of the activities of the industry-academia cooperation program "Mercedes-Benz Mobile Academy," which provides Mercedes-Benz's technology and global educational know-how to domestic university automotive departments. It has been held annually since 2014 to offer practical support to students who wish to find employment in related fields after graduating from automotive-related majors, consisting not only of technical experiences but also job introductions and in-depth mentoring on occupations.
This Career Development Workshop was conducted in a visiting workshop format to each university instead of the traditional 2-night, 3-day training center format to prevent the spread of COVID-19. It was held 12 times over 11 days starting from the 8th, with a total of 84 students from six universities nationwide, including Inha Technical College and Doowon Technical University, participating to share employment market trends and practical knowledge, providing an opportunity for career choice and development.
In particular, during the second week of the workshop, recruitment officers from eight Mercedes-Benz dealerships participated and conducted mock interviews similar to actual interviews, giving participating students the chance to improve their interview skills.

Additionally, participating students experienced actual vehicles such as the Mercedes-Maybach S 560 4MATIC and Mercedes-AMG E 63 4MATIC+ on-site, completed various programs including Mercedes-Benz job introductions, vehicle education, and mentoring sessions with professional career mentors and recruitment officers who have worked in the Mercedes-Benz network for over 10 years.
