S-1 Partners with Kakao to Target Unmanned Parking Market
S-1 and Kakao Mobility Launch Unmanned Parking Solution
Comprehensive security solution company S-1 has teamed up with Kakao to target the unmanned parking market. This service integrates S-1's building management expertise into the 'KakaoT' application (app) service.
S-1 (President Noh Hee-chan) announced on the 22nd that it has partnered with Kakao Mobility (CEO Ryu Geung-seon) to launch an unmanned parking solution that combines S-1's building management and parking lot operation know-how with the KakaoT parking service.
In 2018, S-1 signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with Kakao Mobility focused on 'providing smart parking services.' Since then, through continuous collaboration, they have introduced an unmanned parking solution that incorporates S-1's remote response and emergency dispatch services into KakaoT parking.
According to S-1, the biggest feature of the newly introduced unmanned parking solution is user 'convenience.' As the service is based on the KakaoT app, when users select their desired parking lot within the KakaoT app, the Kakao Navi app automatically launches to provide route guidance. Additionally, automatic payment settlement is made through pre-registered payment information in the KakaoT app, enabling nonstop exit.
Moreover, S-1 offers various services to allow not only users but also managers to operate parking lots conveniently. Parking spaces available for the service can be adjusted by day of the week and time of day. For example, in office buildings, the number of parking spaces displayed on the KakaoT app can be reduced on weekdays for tenant employees and increased on weekends, allowing flexible operation.
