Construction Begins on April 24 for Ganghwa Coastal Circular Road from Changhuri Ferry Terminal to Gyodong Bridge Entrance
[Asia Economy Reporter Park Hyesook] Incheon City will commence construction on the 2 km section of Section 4-1 (Changhuri Ferry Terminal to Gyodong Bridge Entrance), part of the unopened segment of the Ganghwa Coastal Circular Road, on the 24th.
The total project cost is 15.9 billion KRW, with completion scheduled for December 2023.
Once this project is completed, the travel time from Gyodong Bridge to Changhuri Ferry Terminal, which previously took about 20 minutes, will be reduced to 5 minutes, improving transportation convenience for tourists visiting Gyodongdo and Seokmodo and contributing to the revitalization of the local economy.
Out of the total 84.4 km of the Ganghwa Coastal Circular Road, 20 km across Sections 4 and 5 remain unopened.
