President Trump, who recently resumed his election campaign, was scheduled to hold a large rally on the night of the 20th (local time) in Tulsa, Oklahoma. The six campaign staff who tested positive were reportedly preparing for this rally event.
According to the Associated Press, the Trump campaign stated that the positive cases were identified through tests conducted as part of COVID-19 safety measures, and immediate quarantine measures were taken.
The campaign also emphasized that not only the six who tested positive but also those who had contact with them would not attend the Tulsa rally.
However, concerns about the spread of COVID-19 due to the Tulsa rally are expected to increase.
According to U.S. media, the Trump rally scheduled for that day is the largest gathering since the COVID-19 outbreak.
The Oklahoma Bank Center in Tulsa, the venue for the event, can accommodate 19,000 people, and President Trump is also expected to campaign outside the venue separately.
