The fire authorities stated that the remaining vehicles, gasoline, and scrap tires at the scrapyard were burning, making firefighting difficult.
As the vehicles continued to burn, large and small explosions were reported occurring in various locations.
As the flames grew, the authorities issued a 'Response Level 1' alarm, which calls for the deployment of all personnel from the local fire station, and dispatched 40 personnel and 13 pieces of equipment to carry out firefighting operations.
