[Asia Economy Reporter Jongil Park] Gangseo-gu, Seoul (Mayor Noh Hyun-song) announced that stories of gratitude and donations for medical staff who are helping to overcome the novel coronavirus infection (COVID-19) continue to emerge.
On the 18th, an anonymous young man visited the public health center and suddenly handed a handwritten letter and 20 Starbucks coupons to the first-floor information desk staff before quickly disappearing.
The handwritten letter from this young man contained a heartfelt message: "I am a young man in my 20s dreaming of becoming an aircraft maintenance engineer. In March, due to COVID-19, everything stopped just as I was about to start my job."
He also wrote, "Despite the difficult situation and the hot summer weather, seeing the hard work of the medical staff gave me hope and comfort, so I saved a little from my part-time job wages to deliver a small gift."
Additionally, he included a message of encouragement: "Thanks to all of you, we will all get through these difficult times well! Fighting!"
A public health center official said, "We were surprised by the sudden letter and gift, but we sincerely thank this young man for his gratitude and sincerity," and added, "With the warm hearts of our residents, we will do our best to overcome COVID-19."
