Jindo-gun Creates Landscape Lighting for Jindocheon Healthy Walking Trail
Effects of Nighttime Crime Prevention and Landscape Improvement
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Hyun] Jindo-gun, Jeollanam-do announced on the 18th that it will invest approximately 40 million KRW to install and operate landscape lighting along a 1.6 km section of the walking trail around Jindocheon.
The lights to be installed this time are solar-powered beacons with a visibility distance of over 800 meters. When installed around the walking trail, they are expected to ensure the safety of residents and significantly improve the landscape.
The solar-powered beacons are solar rechargeable light devices attached to the ground, which have the advantage of illuminating nighttime paths with a narrower installation section compared to traditional streetlights.
The installation section is about 1.6 km from Namdongcheon (Jogeum Bridge) in Jindo-eup to the entrance of Gojak Village, with plans to complete installation by early July.
Once installation is complete, it is expected to revitalize the local commercial area by providing residents with leisure activity spaces and offering tourists scenic views through the beautiful landscape.
