Lotte Homeshopping Launches 'Domestic Travel Products' to Revitalize Local Economy
Business Agreement with Korail Tourism Development on the 17th
[Asia Economy Reporter Seungjin Lee] Lotte Homeshopping announced on the 18th that it held a 'Business Partnership Agreement Ceremony for Domestic Tourism and Regional Economic Revitalization' with Korail Tourism Development.
The agreement ceremony held on the 17th at the headquarters in Yangpyeong-dong, Seoul, was attended by Lotte Homeshopping CEO Iwanshin, Product Headquarters Director Hyungju Yoo, Planning Division Head Seongbin Shin, Korail Tourism Development CEO Sooncheol Kim, Tourism Leisure Headquarters Director Doojin Kim, Tourism Business Manager Mincheol Son, and other related officials.
The two companies agreed to jointly introduce experiential domestic travel products with various themes such as tourism, leisure, culture, and local specialties through home shopping, and to carry out marketing and social contribution programs to revitalize the regional economy.
Lotte Homeshopping entered into the agreement with Korail Tourism Development to reflect customers' needs for safe domestic travel amid the prolonged COVID-19 pandemic and to revitalize the depressed regional economy.
Accordingly, Lotte Homeshopping and Korail Tourism Development plan to select nationwide must-visit attractions in South Korea and consecutively launch 'Domestic Travel Bucket List' products. In July, they will sell the hotel-style tourist train 'Rail Cruise Haerang' product. Over 2 nights and 3 days, travelers can visit major attractions such as Suncheon, Gyeongju, Busan, and Donghae, and enjoy cultural experiences and local representative foods.
The train is equipped with hotel-grade rooms featuring beds and showers, a 'Cafe Car' offering coffee and snacks, and an 'Event Car' where passengers can enjoy musical performances, cultural shows, and massages, among various other amenities. The package product includes the use of onboard facilities, entrance fees to travel destinations, and meal expenses.
Starting from the 20th of this month, Lotte Homeshopping's online shopping mall will exclusively sell train travel products to destinations such as Dumulmeori in Yangpyeong, Gyeonggi Province; Cheongpung Cultural Heritage Complex in Jecheon, Chungbuk; and the Birch Forest in Inje, Gangwon Province. On the 19th at 5:15 a.m., they will also introduce a travel product to Ulleungdo and Dokdo, offering a variety of domestic travel products.
Meanwhile, until July 31, an event will be held where customers who purchase over 50,000 won through the Lotte Homeshopping app and enter a draw will have a chance to win a travel package on the hotel-style tourist train 'Rail Cruise Haerang,' exclusively for Lotte Homeshopping customers. A total of 24 winners will be selected.
