Hyundai Livart Accelerates Differentiation in Kitchen Furniture Design and Quality
The premium model 'L500G' of Hyundai Livart's kitchen furniture brand 'Livart Kitchen' features a 'beveled door' design, where the top surface of the lower cabinet door is slanted inward at a 45-degree angle.

[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Jong-hwa] Hyundai Livart is launching kitchen furniture that combines luxurious design with reasonable prices. The company aims to elevate the competitiveness of 'Livart Kitchen' in the kitchen furniture market through design differentiation and quality upgrades.
Hyundai Livart, a total interior company affiliated with Hyundai Department Store Group, released the premium model 'L500G' of its kitchen furniture brand Livart Kitchen on the 18th.
The L500G is a premium model of the Livart Kitchen L100G and L200G, which were introduced last year and earlier this year respectively. The selling price is 2.9 million KRW based on the basic configuration (2.4m linear type). It comes in four colors: Nubuck White, Soft Ivory, Deep Gray, and Silk Navy.
Hyundai Livart will install actual L500G units at 20 locations nationwide, including Livart Kitchen Plus showrooms in Nonhyeon and Dogok, which are win-win type kitchen furniture exhibition halls, and begin sales.
The L500G features a 'beveled door' design where the upper surface of the lower cabinet door is slanted inward at a 45-degree angle. Since the beveled door replaces the handle, the kitchen furniture design is neat and simple. In particular, the beveled door requires a separate manufacturing process and manual work, making it difficult to produce and typically applied only to high-end kitchen furniture priced over 10 million KRW (based on an apartment supply area of 84㎡). A company official explained, "We conducted mold development and surface material adhesion tests over four months to develop the beveled door."
To highlight the beveled door design, Hyundai Livart used a self-developed 'Y-shaped channel (aluminum bar)' between the kitchen furniture countertop and the door. Generally, kitchen furniture uses a C-shaped curved channel, but they developed and applied a Y-shaped channel that falls straight to emphasize the slanted upper surface of the door.
A Hyundai Livart official said, "A clear standard for consumers to distinguish between regular and high-end kitchen furniture products is minimal yet detailed design," adding, "Among domestic kitchen furniture products priced between 2 to 3 million KRW, the L500G is the only product applying premium specifications such as beveled doors and Y-shaped channels."
The L500G is the first to apply 'Nubuck ASA' as a surface finish material. While the existing L100G and L200G used the eco-friendly surface finish 'ASA,' which is resistant to yellowing over long-term use compared to general furniture surface materials, the newly applied Nubuck ASA adds a special coating to the existing ASA, making the surface soft and resistant to stains and fingerprints.
Additionally, a wide range of enhanced design options are available. Representative examples include drawer-type lower cabinets and pocket storage designed as 'insert types' (where drawers or display cabinets fit inside the door). Typically, drawer-type lower cabinets and pocket storage display dishes or small appliances outside, but these have been newly designed to emphasize a minimal design concept.
Premium options usually seen only in high-end kitchen furniture products are also available, such as the four major kitchen packages from the Swiss luxury kitchen appliance brand 'FRANKE'?faucet, sink bowl, hood, and cooktop?as well as natural granite kitchen countertops.
