Naju Saengsaeng Cultural Heritage to Unfold at Naju Cultural Center on 20-21
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Yukbong] Naju City, Jeollanam-do (Mayor Kang In-gyu) announced on the 17th that the Saengsaeng Cultural Heritage event will be held for 2 days and 1 night on the 20th and 21st at the Naju Cultural Center (Director Choi Gibok).
Saengsaeng Cultural Heritage is a project to revitalize the historical and cultural city by utilizing Naju's cultural heritage where the past and present coexist. It is a distinctive experiential program conducted by fostering new awareness and preservation of cultural assets.
In particular, this project will be thoroughly prepared and operated to ensure participants can safely join the program by adhering to social distancing in daily life and education to prevent the spread of COVID-19.
On the first day, the program begins with exploring Geumseonggwan, a local palace, followed by learning about the largest scale Honam region's Naju Eupseong Fortress and the appearance of the government office. Participants will imagine the role of the local governor, the Moksa, during the Joseon Dynasty and life inside the Moksa's residence, reflecting on the meaning of life.
On the second day, the program starts with beautiful indigo dyeing with Jeong Gwanchae, a national intangible cultural asset dyeing master, and then tours the Bokam-ri Ancient Tomb Exhibition Hall.
