Jeonnam Fire Department's 'Emergency Housing Support Project' Fulfills Its Role Effectively
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Yoon Jamin] The emergency housing support project promoted by Jeonnam Fire Department has borne its first fruit in stabilizing the housing of fire-affected disaster victims.
According to the Jeonnam Fire Headquarters (Chief Ma Jaeyoon) on the 12th, a family of four who lost their home due to a fire in April was selected for the 'Emergency Housing Support Project' and is currently residing in the supported housing.
Jeonnam Fire Department signed a business agreement with LH Gwangju Jeonnam Regional Headquarters in December last year regarding emergency housing support.
The main content is to provide rental housing for a certain period to help secure the housing safety of fire-affected disaster victims.
According to the agreement, the fire station explains the system to fire-affected residents, and those who wish to participate are recommended to LH Gwangju Jeonnam Regional Headquarters. After internal review, housing is provided at prices lower than market rental rates to help stabilize the housing of fire victims.
Jeonnam Fire Department has continuously promoted the emergency housing support policy through promotional materials and its website, and has provided damage recovery guidance and counseling through fire victim support centers operated by each fire station.
Chief Ma Jaeyoon said, “We will put more effort into guiding emergency housing support for fire-affected disaster victims and actively identify eligible individuals so that residents suffering from fire can quickly return to their daily lives.”
