On the 12th, Hua Chunying, spokesperson for the Chinese Ministry of Foreign Affairs, said at a regular briefing marking the 2nd anniversary of the Singapore North Korea-U.S. summit, "Two years ago, the North Korea-U.S. summit achieved a new form of North Korea-U.S. relations and a shared understanding of the complete denuclearization of the Korean Peninsula," but added, "Unfortunately, the shared understanding has not been realized, and North Korea-U.S. talks have reached a deadlock."
Spokesperson Hua pointed out, "The decisive reason is that North Korea's reasonable concerns have not been respected or resolved," and noted, "North Korea has already taken denuclearization measures, but there has been no corresponding response."
She continued, "The United States must realize the shared understanding of the two leaders through practical actions and respond to North Korea's development and reasonable security concerns."
