The faculty of the Department of Advertising and Public Relations at Dongmyung University announced on the 12th that they will conduct double mentoring for 25 enrolled students in collaboration with five institutions and companies in the Busan area.
Double mentoring is a non-curricular program where professors and industry experts jointly mentor enrolled students, managing all aspects of university life. The goal is to enhance students' practical major skills and employment capabilities.
This double mentoring involves mentors from Busan International Film Festival (Team Leader Jang Eun-seok, supervising professor Lee Jeong-gi), Hive Media (CEO Jin Hojin, supervising professor Koo Jahwi), Bizmax (CEO Park Dong-min, supervising professor Koo Jahwi), Elephant Media (CEO Lee Kang-min, supervising professor Han Eun-jung), and Choejak Planning (CEO Choe Eun-ji, supervising professor Han Eun-jung).
These industry professors will regularly meet students from June to November to share various stories about corporate practices, employment know-how, and strategies.
Professor Han Eun-jung said, “Through the time when experts from five institutions and department professors share vivid stories from the corporate field, students' practical skills will naturally improve.”
Additionally, during this summer vacation, 23 third- and fourth-year students from the department will participate in short-term field training activities at 11 institutions including KBS Busan Headquarters, Busan Viewer Media Center, Media Jium, Rigo Global, Kailas, Hwamyju, Beta News Busan Gyeongnam Reporting Headquarters, YC College, Choejak Planning, Elephant Media, and Bizmax.
The Dongmyung University internship system refers to a program where students engage in activities to develop practical skills at companies and institutions related to their major, earning between 3 to 6 credits.
