Signs of COVID-19 Resurgence... Daegu City Operates 'Facility Self-Guardian App'
[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Park Dong-wook] Daegu City announced on the 12th that it will operate the 'Our Facility Self-Guardian App' to enable quarantine managers of each facility to self-check the quarantine compliance of workers and users in response to the novel coronavirus infection (COVID-19).
Since the 18th of last month, Daegu City has been conducting a pilot operation of a smartphone app that allows quarantine managers of each facility to autonomously inspect using ICT technology, and this month it has also been registered on app stores such as Google Play.
Previously, public officials visited each facility to guide and inspect quarantine rules, but according to Daegu City, by using the Self-Guardian App, quarantine managers of each facility can thoroughly follow the essential quarantine rules without missing any by following the smartphone app screen.
The applicable fields include movie theaters, performance halls, indoor sports facilities (fitness centers, sports dojos, martial arts academies), and tourist facilities. A total of 1,140 facilities in the region are expected to participate.
Daegu City plans to attach certification stickers to companies that participate sincerely and invite them to new performance types in the post-COVID-19 era, such as 'Drive-in Theater Outdoor Performances' (4 times between June and July), to express gratitude.
