Recruitment of New Members for the 2020 Jangsu-gun Shining Orchestra
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Go Dallyoung] Jangsu Cultural Center in Jangsu-gun, Jeonbuk, announced on the 12th that it is recruiting new members for the '2020 Jangsu Shining Orchestra.'
The recruitment targets are residents of Jangsu from 3rd to 6th grade in elementary school and 1st to 2nd grade in middle school. The recruitment parts include 2 double bass players, 1 clarinetist, 1 horn player, 1 bassoonist, 1 trombonist, 1 oboist, and 3 percussionists, totaling 10 members.
The selection process consists of a first-round document screening and a second-round interview. Document submissions have been accepted at the Jangsu Cultural Center since the 4th.
The application period lasts until the recruitment quota for each part is filled. New member application forms can be downloaded from the Jangsu County Office website (www.jangsu.go.kr) under the announcements section.
Upon final acceptance, instruments and education are provided free of charge. Members will receive training every Monday and Thursday from 3 PM to 6 PM and will participate as orchestra members.
The 'Jangsu Shining Orchestra' is a cultural and artistic program established in 2013 to provide balanced music education to children, foster emotional development and sensitivity through music, and nurture creative talents.

Currently, about 60 local children are active as orchestra members, performing at annual regular concerts and various local events.
