Chairman Lee Jeong-woon, along with county council members and about 20 staff from the council's secretariat, visited a farm located in Monggang-ri, Mongtan-myeon, and worked hard to help harvest onions ready for shipment.
This labor assistance was carried out to ease the burden on farms facing difficulties amid a severe labor shortage caused by the prolonged COVID-19 pandemic. Despite being in the middle of the regular council session, the county council members took time to participate in the labor support.
The farm owner expressed gratitude, saying, "We were very worried due to the labor shortage caused by the COVID-19 situation, but the county council's help with labor was a great assistance."
