Daegu City Holds 'Proud Citizen Award' Ceremony... Grand Prize Awarded to Woo Dae-hyun, Head of Gwangbokhoe Branch
[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Park Dong-wook] On the afternoon of the 11th, Daegu City held the '43rd Proud Citizen Award' (Daegu Citizen Award) ceremony in the city hall's main conference room, expressing gratitude to seven individuals who personally practiced the 'Citizen Noblesse Oblige' in their respective fields.
This year's ceremony was delayed from the usual schedule of being held every February during 'Daegu Citizen Week' due to the cancellation of the Citizen's Day commemorative ceremony caused by the novel coronavirus infection (COVID-19).
To select this year's awardees, Daegu City publicly recruited candidates for 63 days from the end of August to October last year. Afterwards, a merit review committee was held for the applicants, and the final recipients were selected: one grand prize winner, three main prize winners, and three special prize winners.
