Professor Song Kyung-yong of Dongshin University Appointed as Chairman of Jeonnam Council for Unification Education Committee
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Yoon Jamin] Song Kyung-yong, Dean of the Graduate School at Dongshin University (Professor of Tourism Management), has been appointed as the Chairman of the Jeonnam Council of the Unification Education Committee at the Ministry of Unification's Unification Education Institute. His term will last until March 2022.
Dean Song currently serves as the Executive Director of the Gwangju Peace Foundation, a member of the Special Committee on Inter-Korean Exchange and Cooperation of the Korea Association of Mayors and Governors, and an auditor of the Jeonnam Peace Foundation.
Since 2003, he has visited North Korea five times and has been actively involved in civilian exchanges with North Korea in the Gwangju and Jeonnam regions.
