Cheongam University Opens Learning Support Center for Students with Disabilities
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Lee Hyung-kwon] Cheongam University (President Seo Hyung-won) held an opening ceremony on the 8th for the establishment of the Learning Support Room for Students with Disabilities. The ceremony was attended by President Seo Hyung-won, faculty members, center officials, the student council, students with disabilities, and about 30 educational support staff and students to celebrate the opening of the Learning Support Room.
The Learning Support Room for Students with Disabilities was established by expanding the space of the Disability Support Center on the 2nd floor of the Information Science Building, which had been used previously, as part of the 2020 Specialized College Innovation Support Project.
Kim Hyun-na, director of the Disability Support Center, stated, “The Learning Support Room will support university life by providing learning support, mobility assistance, and daily living support for students with disabilities, preventing mid-term dropout, and enhancing outcomes through convenience, thereby contributing to nurturing excellent disabled university students.”
Cheongam University plans to gradually expand the scope of support to improve learning and mobility assistance for students with disabilities and provide comprehensive support throughout university life.
