[Asia Economy Reporter Donghoon Jeong] Yoon Mi-hyang, a member of the Democratic Party of Korea, and current executives of the Citizens' Coalition for Civil Society (Yeondaehoe) who issued a statement supporting the Justice and Memory Solidarity (Jeonguiyeon) have been accused by a civic group of forgery of private documents, co-forgery, and obstruction of business.
On the 9th, the Judicial Examination Preparation Group (Sajunmo) announced that it had filed a complaint with the Seoul Western District Prosecutors' Office against Kang Min-cheol, co-representative of Yeondaehoe, and other current executives.
Yeondaehoe, a coalition of over 330 civic groups nationwide including People’s Solidarity for Participatory Democracy, Citizens' Coalition for Economic Justice, and Korean Women's Associations United, stated in a joint statement on the 14th of last month that "baseless allegations and public opinion manipulation against Yoon Mi-hyang and Jeonguiyeon must stop."
The group, citing a media report, claimed, "There are organizations listed as members of Yeondaehoe that never applied for membership, among the over 330 member organizations of Yeondaehoe," and "Among the member organizations, some have expressed dissatisfaction about the joint statement being issued as if they agreed with its content, even though they did not."
They continued, "To join Yeondaehoe, an application must be submitted with recommendations from at least two affiliated member organizations, but multiple groups including the Organ Donation Movement Headquarters deny their membership," and "If Yeondaehoe officials conspired to forge membership applications and create membership lists, it constitutes forgery of private documents and co-forgery."
Meanwhile, regarding the case in which Sajunmo filed a complaint against broadcaster Kim Eo-jun for defamation of Grandmother Lee Yong-soo under the Information and Communications Network Act and other charges, the Criminal Division 1 of the Seoul Western District Prosecutors' Office has issued an investigative order to the Mapo Police Station in Seoul.

Sajunmo claimed that Kim made statements on his radio program such as "The grandmother's story is similar to the claims of Choi Yong-sang, representative of the Gaja Human Rights and Peace Party," and "It is clear that the press conference documents were not written by the grandmother herself," arguing that these statements constitute defamation under the Information and Communications Network Act or criminal law.
