Seoul City-CJ Group Conduct Online Job Mentoring 'Raenseon Jabdam' for University Students
[Asia Economy Reporter Jo In-kyung] The Seoul Volunteer Center announced on the 9th that it conducted an online job mentoring program called 'Ranseon Job Talk' on the 4th and 5th of this month, matching about 50 CJ Group executives and employees with approximately 250 university student volunteers from Seoul Donghaeng and CJ Donors Camp to share job experience and knowledge.
The job mentoring was divided into 14 job fields including management, planning, strategy, distribution, logistics, sales, HR, advertising, public relations, design, product development, MD, marketing, research and development, IT planning and development, content planning and production, finance and accounting, social contribution, and legal affairs. One pro bono expert (public service activity utilizing job expertise) was matched online with 3 to 7 university students per field, and a total of four 90-minute sessions were held.
One university student participant said, "There are limits to job information found on the internet, and it was frustrating not to be able to hear directly from professionals. Through Ranseon Job Talk, I was able to directly ask questions to professionals and hear real job stories, which was very beneficial."
A pro bono executive from a CJ Group affiliate who attended the event said, "During the preparation process for the online job mentoring, I was able to objectively review and organize my job, and communicating with university students was a meaningful time to broaden my perspective on generations."
Kim Eui-wook, director of the Seoul Volunteer Center, said, "I hope both pro bono experts and university students gained new vitality through meeting each other amid the prolonged COVID-19 situation. We plan to operate various pro bono volunteer programs to support young people’s entry into society in the future."
