Gokseong-gun Releases Over 30,000 Juvenile Fish to Commemorate Environment Day
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Chunsu] On the 6th, Gokseong-gun, Jeollanam-do, announced on the 8th that it held a native fish release event in the Gokseongcheon area, which joins the Seomjin River, to celebrate the 25th Environment Day.
This event was jointly hosted by Gokseong-gun and the Green Gokseong 21 Practice Council.
At the event, about 50 participants including residents and tourists released approximately 30,000 native fish fry such as Dongjagae, Crucian carp, and Chinese mitten crab.
The county expected that the event would help secure aquatic ecological health and provide an opportunity for many people to realize the importance of environmental conservation.
