China's Exports Declined Again Last Month
[Asia Economy Reporter Sung Ki-ho] China's exports returned to a decline last month.
According to Hong Kong media on the 7th, China's exports in May decreased by 3.3% compared to the same month last year.
Due to the spread of the novel coronavirus infection (COVID-19), China's exports had been continuously declining this year, but increased by 3.5% in April; however, this recovery trend did not continue last month.
Nevertheless, last month's Chinese exports exceeded market expectations. A Bloomberg survey of experts had predicted a 6.5% decline.
