Damyang-gun Selected as an 'Excellent Institution' in Disaster Management Evaluation
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Yukbong] Damyang County, Jeonnam (Governor Choi Hyungsik) announced on the 5th that it was selected as an 'Excellent Institution' in this year's disaster management evaluation hosted by the Ministry of the Interior and Safety.
In this evaluation conducted on 226 local governments nationwide, the county was selected as an excellent institution and will receive incentives such as a ministerial citation and prize money.
Previously, based on last year's disaster management performance, the county received balanced scores in 34 indicators across six areas including disaster prevention, preparedness, response, and recovery.
In particular, it received high scores in safety education and cultural movement promotion performance, improvement of crisis management manuals by disaster type, preparedness for summer and winter natural disasters, and securing and managing disaster relief infrastructure, leading to its selection as an excellent institution.
