If You've Ever Dreamed of a Little Forest, How About Gokseong Cheongchun Jakdang
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Chunsu] Gokseong-gun, Jeollanam-do announced that it will recruit participants for the urban youth Gokseong living project, "Cheongchun Jakdang Season 2," from the 5th to the 19th.
Cheongchun Jakdang is one of Gokseong-gun's youth population inflow policies and operated its first season last year. The goal is for 30 urban youths to live in Gokseong for 100 days, participate in rural experiences and various programs, and design a new life in the countryside.
Youths who participated in Season 1 engaged in rural experiences and collaborated on various projects such as promotion and branding design with local young farmers and entrepreneurs.
This year, participants will be selected through interviews among applicants, and the program will be conducted for 100 days from August 20 to November 27. In particular, based on last year's experience, more diverse and advanced programs are being prepared.
Eligible participants are youths aged 19 to 39 residing in cities or counties other than Gokseong-gun, and applications can be submitted through the Cheongchun Jakdang website.
During the first 20 days of the 100-day Cheongchun Jakdang program, participants take a break from urban life to learn about themselves and Gokseong. Then, for 50 days, they form teams with local young farmers and entrepreneurs to carry out projects.
Through this, they explore the possibility of sustainable living in Gokseong. The last 30 days are dedicated to holding an exhibition to share the results of the team projects and records of the 100 days spent in Gokseong, as well as preparing for settlement in Gokseong.
