Live commerce differs from traditional home shopping by enabling real-time interactive communication with consumers. It allows quick resolution of product information or inquiries before purchase, and can attract consumer interest through fun events such as discount coupons and guerrilla time sales.
According to the Center, in a pilot broadcast held on the 27th of last month, where Everybot’s ‘Mulgulle Cheongso-gi EDGE’ (wet mop vacuum cleaner EDGE) and Fluke’s ‘Adorable Water-based Nail’ were sold at affordable prices, the cumulative number of viewers was recorded as 1,413 and 3,010 per product, respectively.
The Center plans to regularly broadcast live shows through collaboration with online commerce companies such as Naver and TMON. After the third supplementary budget is finalized, the frequency of broadcasts, which was once a week, will be increased to three times a week. The goal is to sell 10,000 small business products by 2022.

Jung Jinsoo, the Center’s CEO, said, “Through Gachi Sapsida live commerce, we will strive to expand online market channels and discover excellent products for SMEs and small business owners who have experienced sales declines due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Products that were difficult to explain with just text and photos will be infused with valuable energy through live commerce, and through this, consumers can enjoy shopping. The Small and Medium Business Distribution Center will work to serve as a product curator.”
