Two More Infections Including Husband of Confirmed Pastor at Incheon Gaechok Church (Update)
[Asia Economy Reporter Park So-yeon] Two more people, including the husband of a pastor who tested positive, have been confirmed positive in connection with the recent cluster of COVID-19 cases at a pioneering church gathering in Incheon.
On the 3rd, Incheon City announced that A (69, male) and B (74, female), residents of Sinheung-dong, Jung-gu, tested positive for COVID-19.
A is the husband of Pastor C (68, female) of a church in Jung-gu, who tested positive on the 31st of last month, and B was identified as someone who recently attended the early morning worship service at Pastor C's church.
After his wife was confirmed positive for COVID-19, A was classified as a contact and underwent specimen testing at the Jung-gu Public Health Center. While the first and second tests did not confirm infection, the third test returned a positive result.
B also had no result from the first test but was confirmed positive on the second test.
The quarantine authorities urgently transferred A and B to Inha University Hospital and Gachon University Gil Medical Center, respectively, and are conducting epidemiological investigations to identify contacts and trace their movements.

As of today, the total number of confirmed cases related to the pioneering church in Incheon stands at 36, with the city's overall cumulative confirmed cases totaling 254.
