President Moon: "Enclosed, Close, Crowded '3Mil Facilities' Vulnerable to COVID Infection"
Request for Public Cooperation Amid COVID-19 Resurgence Movements in SNS Message... "Voluntary Public Participation is the Virus Prevention Vaccine"
[Asia Economy Reporter Ryu Jeong-min] President Moon Jae-in emphasized the voluntary participation of the public in hygiene rules through an SNS message on the 3rd regarding the resurgence of the 'novel coronavirus infection (COVID-19)'.
President Moon said, "'A new normal, a request to the people.' Just when we thought we could take a breath, it was not the case," expressing concern that "cluster infections of COVID-19 centered in the metropolitan area are not stopping. They are occurring one after another, starting from entertainment clubs to logistics centers, academies, and religious facilities."
In particular, President Moon emphasized, "The common point is that all of them occur in enclosed, close-contact, and crowded facilities. All kinds of activities conducted in 3밀 (enclosed, close-contact, crowded) facilities are vulnerable to COVID-19 infection. Especially, religious small group activities, which are enthusiastic and involve close contact, pose a very high risk of mass transmission, as confirmed in the recent cluster infection at the pioneering church."
President Moon said, "Special caution and restraint are necessary. Even if the government establishes a meticulous quarantine network, there are inevitably limits to controlling every secret small gathering. The voluntary participation of the people is the preventive vaccine that stops the spread of the virus."
President Moon earnestly requested once again, "During the months of fighting the virus, we have confirmed through experience that if we just follow the basics, the virus cannot easily threaten us, and the virus does not miss the gaps in our small lapses." He added, "By properly following quarantine rules such as social distancing and wearing masks, we can protect ourselves, our families, and our communities from the virus's attack."

President Moon said, "Living quarantine is the new normal of coexisting with the virus. It is a strange new normal different from the past, but it is not necessarily difficult," and urged, "Please make the new normal, together with quarantine rules, an ordinary daily life. The path to victory in living quarantine ultimately depends on the united efforts of the government and the people. The government will also strive harder to adapt to the new normal."
