Hwasun-gun Promotes 'Pilot Project for Farm Education Environment Improvement by Item'
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Young-gyun] Hwasun County, Jeonnam (Governor Gu Chung-gon) announced on the 3rd that it will promote the ‘Pilot Project for Improving the Educational Environment of Farms by Crop Type’ to promote representative local crops and provide on-site education.
The county has seen an increasing demand for on-site visits to local farms, but there have been difficulties in conducting education due to inadequate educational facilities.
In addition, to improve the environment of farms and provide a safe and comfortable educational environment for on-site visiting trainees, the county decided to promote the ‘Pilot Project for Improving the Educational Environment of Farms by Crop Type.’
The pilot project selected a total of seven farms specializing in peaches, tomatoes, beekeeping, greenhouse peppers, strawberries, sword beans, and black goats.
The project cost is 10 million KRW per site, including a self-payment of 3 million KRW.
Through the pilot project, audiovisual equipment necessary for education, laptops, tables, and chairs will be installed in farm education facilities.

An official from the Agricultural Technology Center said, “Improving the educational environment of farms by crop type is expected to play a significant role not only in allowing farmers to receive education in a safe environment but also in disseminating vivid and practical agricultural technologies in the field.”
