60-Year-Old Fined for Restaurant Disturbance After Handing Over 300 100-Won Coins Saying "Count Them"
[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kang Sharon] Judge Park Gyudo of Criminal Division 7 at Changwon District Court announced on the 1st that he sentenced A (62) to a fine of 8 million won for disturbing business by causing a commotion at a restaurant operated by the victim, holding a grudge after being accused of fraud.
On April 5th of this year, A threw 300 100-won coins as credit payment at the restaurant operated by victim B in Seongsan-gu, Changwon-si, Gyeongnam, shouting, "Count the coins. I have no money, so I raided my piggy bank."
Frightened, B ran to the kitchen, but A followed and continued to shout, causing a disturbance and interfering with the restaurant's business for about 20 minutes.
A is known to have caused the disturbance at the restaurant out of resentment after B's husband reported him to the police for not paying the 75,000 won food bill.

Judge Park stated, "The defendant acted to interfere with the victim's business as retaliation for the accusation," adding, "However, considering the defendant's diligent social service, the sentence is determined."
