Boseong-gun Launches Volunteer Effort to Improve Housing Conditions for Neighbors in Need
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Park Yong-chul] Beolgyo Youth Harmony (President Kim Hyun-jin) and Beolgyo Construction Hanmadang (President Yang Cheol-su) announced on the 1st that they carried out volunteer work to improve the living environment of six underprivileged households in the area on the 31st of last month.
During this volunteer activity, they cleaned and restored the fire site of a disabled household that experienced a fire on the 22nd of last month, and painted the gate and replaced LED lights for elderly households in difficult circumstances.
The ‘Beolgyo Youth Harmony,’ which participated in the volunteer work, is a group formed by 32 young people who have their residence or business in the area and want to contribute to the local community. ‘Beolgyo Construction Hanmadang’ has been steadily improving the living environments of neighbors in welfare blind spots for several years, serving as a role model for local residents.
Kim Hyun-jin, president of Youth Harmony, said, “It was a meaningful activity that could provide even a little help to our local residents,” and added, “We plan to continue volunteering to help neighbors in need, such as replacing LED lights and painting.”
Yang Cheol-su, president of Beolgyo Construction Hanmadang, stated, “We hope we were able to provide some help to the households affected by the fire, and we will continue to promote volunteer activities for underprivileged neighbors.”
