Kim I-bae Appointed CEO of Jeju Air "Survival Struggle and Preparing for Post-Corona"
[Asia Economy Reporter Yoo Je-hoon] Jeju Air announced on the 1st that Vice President Kim I-bae has been appointed as the new CEO. Kim, the new CEO, replaced the inauguration ceremony with an on-site visit. At 7 a.m., Kim visited the Maintenance Headquarters at Gimpo International Airport in Gangseo-gu, Seoul, and then went to the crew lounge to encourage flight and cabin attendants.
In his inauguration speech posted on the company intranet, Kim said, "Amid the COVID-19 pandemic, we have been engaged in a fierce struggle for survival and now stand at a critical historical crossroads where we must prepare for a post-COVID market different from the past," adding, "We can definitely overcome the current crisis with the spirit of Jeju Air."

Kim also stated, "Let us continue to take on challenges so that Jeju Air can set new standards in the aviation industry 5 or 10 years from now," and "I will do my utmost together with you all at the frontlines where these challenges take place."
