On the 27th broadcast of MBC's 'True Story Expedition', the private life controversy of popular pharmacist YouTuber 'Yakkooreuteu' Park, who had about 240,000 subscribers, was focused on.
On the broadcast, Park's ex-girlfriend Jung Dajeong (pseudonym) revealed, "After having sexual relations with Yakkooreuteu, that area really hurt. It was a symptom I had never felt before. It was stinging and burning, like a burn. When a burn touches water, it stings and hurts, right? The symptom was so severe that I was afraid to drink water or coffee. It was very painful."
Jung, who visited a gynecologist, was diagnosed positive for herpes simplex virus type 2, which is transmitted through sexual contact. It is known that Park told her, "But I think I am the cause. I will take full moral responsibility. I really didn't know."
Also on the day, 'True Story Expedition' found Kim Eunbyeol (pseudonym), who posted a message titled "Exposing pharmacist YouTuber OOOO" on an online community on the 24th of last month.
Kim also revealed that she was diagnosed positive for herpes simplex virus type 2 after meeting 'Yakkooreuteu' Park. In an interview with 'True Story Expedition', Kim said, "I had sexual relations after two years, and it was with that person (Yakkooreuteu)."
According to 'True Story Expedition's investigation, 'Yakkooreuteu' Park not only transmitted an STD to Kim Eunbyeol but also to Jung Dajeong, whom he met later. Especially, Park, who regularly broadcast content about women's health, sparked anger among the victimized women.
Kim said, "(Yakkooreuteu) was someone who recommended medicine for women. I thought he cared for and cherished women. But to the women he met, he acted like this without any safety measures. Knowing that I was suffering, he had relations without informing the secondary victims, which is very frightening."
She added, "Within 30 minutes of posting the expos?, I received a call from Yakkooreuteu Park. When I didn't answer, he kept contacting me. When I said, 'If you come to my house, I will report to the police,' he said, 'Call the police. I think I will commit suicide.'" "It was very scary. When he said he would die outside, I was so scared that I took down the post," she confessed.
Meanwhile, another victim appeared. On the broadcast, Park Chorong (pseudonym) said, "He never said he had a girlfriend. My hands and feet trembled like never before. It felt like a dump truck made a sudden left turn and I barely survived. It was so shocking that I couldn't do anything."
On the day, 'True Story Expedition' confronted 'Yakkooreuteu' Park. Park told the production team, "I don't want to talk. Herpes is not something trivial. In conversations with the victims, I said that to downplay the situation."
When experts said that judging herpes infection solely by urine tests is inaccurate, he said, "Regarding the urine test, I am taking medicine, so I will get retested later. I apologize to my subscribers and viewers." However, Park left hastily without apologizing to the victims.
Meanwhile, on the 4th, 'Yakkooreuteu' Park posted on his YouTube channel community board, "I apologize for causing controversy due to my private life and disappointing my subscribers greatly," and said, "The parties involved are women of my age, who exchanged supportive messages through personal social network services (SNS) and got to know each other through consultations at the pharmacy."
Park explained, "They posted that after having relations with me, they were tested for STDs and found positive for herpes and ureaplasma, which they must live with for life. Embarrassingly, I had never been tested for STDs before this incident. To accurately check for STDs, I visited a hospital and was tested, resulting in positive for Gardnerella and Ureaplasma, and negative for herpes types 1 and 2."
