LG HelloVision and KCTV Jeju Broadcasting Join Hands for Cable TV Collaboration

[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Heung-soon] LG HelloVision, the No.1 cable TV operator, and KCTV Jeju Broadcasting, a comprehensive cable broadcasting operator (SO), have joined hands for the revival and mutual development of cable TV.
On the 28th, LG HelloVision announced that it signed a comprehensive business agreement with KCTV Jeju Broadcasting to strengthen cable TV competitiveness. Both companies promised cooperation in various areas aiming to enhance cable TV competitiveness and secure new growth engines, including ▲content exchange ▲sharing cable platform technology ▲joint projects.
First, they agreed to promote the exchange and joint production of original local channel content. LG HelloVision and KCTV Jeju Broadcasting agreed to mutually cross-broadcast excellent local channel programs and jointly produce regionally specialized content.
They will also pursue cooperation in cable platform technology. They plan to share ▲cloud broadcasting services ▲broadcasting equipment ▲targeted advertising systems, which are difficult for individual operators to invest in independently, to advance cable services.
Joint projects for diversifying cable business will also be explored. Key collaboration targets include ▲rental services ▲electric vehicle charging ▲CCTV, which have established themselves as next-generation growth engines for cable.
Gong Dae-in, CEO of KCTV Jeju Broadcasting, said, "We will build a successful cable cooperation model to enhance cable competitiveness and provide high-quality services to customers."
