Boseong-gun Distributes 11.1 Billion Won in Government Emergency Disaster Relief Funds

[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Park Yong-chul] Boseong-gun, Jeollanam-do announced on the 25th that as of the 24th, the application and reception rate for the government emergency disaster relief fund exceeded 88%, with 19,723 households out of a total of 22,360 households having completed their applications, and 11.1 billion KRW in emergency disaster relief funds paid out.
By payment method, cash payments were made to 7,833 households (35% of total households), with 3.58 billion KRW paid out first on the 4th, and credit/debit card point recharges accounted for about 28.3%, with 6,321 households applying and 3.91 billion KRW paid out so far.
Boseong Love Gift Certificates accounted for 24.9%, with 5,569 households applying, and 3.59 billion KRW applied and received to date. The Boseong Love Gift Certificates will be paid out at the local Nonghyup branch in the jurisdiction of the address starting after the 8th of next month and will be operated on a five-day rotation system.
Since the 11th, the county has started on-site applications for emergency disaster relief funds for all residents, and out of the allocated 12.5 billion KRW in support funds, 11.11 billion KRW has been disbursed.
The county quickly established dedicated emergency disaster relief fund counters in the town and township meeting rooms and expanded reception counters significantly by supporting department personnel to ensure rapid payment of the emergency disaster relief funds. In addition, 180 support personnel were trained on the application reception manual and dispatched to reduce confusion on-site and minimize inconvenience to residents.
Furthermore, areas with many eligible recipients such as Boseong-eup and Beolgyo-eup are operated on a five-day rotation system, and application methods were flexibly adopted considering the characteristics of each town and township, such as village-based applications and voluntary applications.
The county plans to operate a visit application service starting from the 8th of next month and encourage applications from 2,637 households (11.8%) that have not yet applied, aiming to maximize the payment rate by the end of May.
A county official stated, “Since the emergency disaster relief fund is prepared to help the economic recovery of small business owners and self-employed people and to stimulate the contracted consumption, we will promote it through various encouragement methods so that residents can apply and use it as soon as possible.”

Meanwhile, Boseong-gun issues regional love gift certificates (11.6 billion KRW) to eligible recipients for △ Jeonnam-type emergency living expenses, △ Jeonnam-type farmers and fishermen public service allowances, △ temporary living support for low-income groups, △ public utility support for small business owners, △ elderly job and social activity support, and △ emergency support for taxi workers.
