View original image[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Hyun] Jindo-gun, Jeollanam-do announced on the 18th that it will conduct earthquake damage prevention education for the safety of residents in preparation for the recent consecutive earthquakes occurring in nearby areas.
First, video training is planned on the 20th to strengthen earthquake response capabilities for public officials under the county.
Also, once COVID-19 subsides, a ‘visiting earthquake education program’ will be operated by visiting educational facilities such as infant care centers and schools, as well as multi-use facilities such as senior centers and welfare centers.
Along with this, an ‘earthquake experience simulator’ will be installed and operated at the National Maritime Safety Center to allow people to feel the vibrations and danger levels according to the earthquake magnitude and to educate on evacuation procedures.
Earthquake preparedness materials will also be produced and distributed to libraries and related organizations within the county, and posted on the Jindo-gun website to do their best to prevent damage to residents.
