Deputy Minister Oh Young-woo: "Movie Theaters Must Follow Social Distancing Guidelines in Daily Life"
Oh Young-woo, the First Vice Minister of the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, visited the independent art film theaters Indiespace and Seoul Art Cinema on the 15th to check the response to the novel coronavirus infection (COVID-19). He inspected quarantine measures and the reservation system status (zigzag seating with one seat left empty), mask-wearing, and symptom checks of entrants. He listened to the difficulties and suggestions of the officials and requested cooperation to maintain thorough quarantine measures. Vice Minister Oh stated, “Since the situation still requires vigilance, we must overcome the crisis by adhering to social distancing guidelines in daily life,” and added, “We will work together to ensure that theaters and the film industry can return to normal as soon as possible.”
