On the same day, the external propaganda media Uri Minjok Kkiri mentioned the publication of the human rights white paper by the Korea Institute for National Unification on the 11th in an article titled "What Will Follow the Clown Show," claiming, "This is a serious political provocation against our Republic, which prioritizes the dignity and rights of its people, and a confrontation that causes distrust and conflict among compatriots and drives inter-Korean relations to ruin."
The media asserted that South Korea has no qualification to talk about human rights and urged it to reflect on itself. It also claimed that the contents of the human rights white paper were false.
Uri Minjok Kkiri stated, "The South Korean authorities, who are colonial lackeys without even the basic sign of human rights, sovereignty, and are treated like bugs by foreign powers, are the ones who laugh uproariously when they talk about anyone's human rights," adding, "Before arrogantly pointing fingers at others by fabricating nonexistent facts, they should look back on their pitiful situation and miserable human rights reality within their own house, unable even to pull out the deeply embedded nails of resentment in the hearts of the May 18 victims and the Sewol ferry bereaved families, and feel ashamed."
Uri Minjok Kkiri further claimed that the current administration that published the human rights white paper is no different from the Lee Myung-bak and Park Geun-hye administrations.
The media said, "The South Korean ruler talks about 'cooperation' in front but secretly orders subordinates to collect excrement defecated by defector trash to make provocative booklets, making one wonder if they are sane."
It added, "Seeing the South Korean authorities holding the tattered human rights white paper, which had been buried in the trash heaps of past conservative governments, and putting on a clown show, it seems like watching the last days of the Lee Myung-bak and Park Geun-hye factions who drove inter-Korean relations to the worst phase through ruthless confrontation among compatriots."
Uri Minjok Kkiri warned, "It is increasingly clear that there is no need to deal with those who are two-faced, have lost all sense and dignity, and only do dirty deeds, and anyone who tries to tarnish the autonomous dignity and rights of our people will not escape a miserable end."
Meanwhile, the Korea Institute for National Unification under the Prime Minister's Office pointed out the poor human rights situation of North Korean residents in the human rights white paper released on the 11th. Cases included public executions for drug trafficking, watching and distributing South Korean recordings, and violent crimes such as murder.
