[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Lee Hyung-kwon] The Suncheon City Health Center in Jeollanam-do announced on the 12th that it will hold an event through the mobile walking app 'WalkOn' to promote a culture of 'walking exercise in daily life' among citizens and encourage healthy walking.
The city stated that during the event period from the 15th to the 28th, citizens who achieve 120,000 steps within 14 days will receive a mobile cultural gift certificate (worth 5,000 won) as a reward, limited to the first 435 participants.
The mobile walking app 'WalkOn' can be installed by searching for 'WalkOn' in the smartphone's PLAY Store or App Store. Any Suncheon citizen who installs the app and joins the 'Suncheon City Official Community' can participate.
Additionally, the city plans to provide incentives to those who achieve their walking goals through monthly walking challenges at least once a month, and at the end of the year, select a walking champion to continuously motivate walking practice.
