View original image[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Ji-hee] The Korea Employers Federation (KEF) stated on the 10th regarding President Moon Jae-in's special national address on the 3rd anniversary of his inauguration, "We agree with the purpose of overcoming the economic crisis as expressed by President Moon in his special address," and added, "We hope this will serve as an opportunity for our economy to pioneer a path that becomes a global model in overcoming the crisis and creating new opportunities."
The KEF said, "The reason why our country, despite being the first to experience the novel coronavirus disease (COVID-19) outbreak, is highly regarded for its exemplary 'K-quarantine' model is due to the government's proactive efforts and the cooperation of the people."
It continued, "While the world is still experiencing the COVID-19 pandemic, our country, which has one of the highest levels of external dependence globally, is suffering tremendous economic shocks due to export damages," pointing out, "We are facing an unprecedented economic recession."

The KEF emphasized, "Based on the success of K-quarantine, to overcome the crisis in the post-COVID era, national capabilities must be concentrated on strengthening the weakened economic structure through revitalizing corporate vitality," and urged, "We hope the government and the National Assembly will provide proactive and bold institutional support and policy efforts so that our companies can contribute as much as possible to job creation through new investments and innovations."
