View original image[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Park Ki-dong] On the 7th, Kim Jong-sik, Mayor of Mokpo City, visited the excavation and sorting work site of the Mokpo Area Metropolitan Sanitary Landfill Circular Use Maintenance Project located in Daeyang-dong and the waste treatment facility to conduct an urgent intensive safety inspection, the city announced on the 8th.
This inspection was carried out as a preventive measure to ensure that similar incidents do not occur in Mokpo City, following recent safety accidents such as the fire in Icheon.
In particular, the inspection focused on fire safety management for tasks with a high frequency of odor and fire occurrence during the operation of environmental basic facilities within the sanitary landfill, fire risk factors in confined spaces, and compliance with environmental obligations such as the installation of temporary fire-fighting facilities.
